NZS 6343:1994
Safety of household and similar electrical appliances - Particular requirements for clothes dryers and towel rails
(±IEC 335-2-43:1984) In the appliance safety series, this Standard is to be read as a supplement to the General requirements (NZS 6300/AS 3300, ±IEC 335-1 second edition, see Basic information above). It modifies the corresponding clauses to apply to electric clothes dryers for drying textile material in a current of warm air (including drying cabinets), and to electrically heated towel rails, intended for use in household and similar situations. For these appliances, particular features specified include moisture resistance, and temperature limits especially during abnormal operation. Does not apply to tumbler dryers (see NZS 6311/AS 3317),nor to dryers for industrial purposes.
