Care labelling of clothing, household textiles, furnishings, upholstered furniture, bedding, piece goods and yarns
(=AS 1957:1987) Specifies the method of labelling garments and articles manufactured of textiles, plastics, plastic coated fabrics, suede and grain leathers, furs, skins and hides. Also specifies the method of labelling yarns and the methods by which care instructions for piece goods are to be made available to a prospective purchaser at the point of sale. The phrases and symbols to be used by manufacturers in giving care instructions are included.
