Fertility Services

Providers of fertility services are required to meet the Fertility Services Standard NZS 8181:2007 until 28 February 2022, when the updated Ngā Paerewa Health and Disability Services Standard NZS 8134:2021 comes into effect.

Achieves the requirements of the Human Assisted Reproductive Technology (HART) Act 2004, and builds on the existing co-operation among specialists and health practitioners in the developing area of fertility services provision. Along with the associated audit workbook, it defines the quality and safety requirements for the provision of fertility services in New Zealand.
