Approval and test specification - Particular requirements for electric irons (=AS 3307-1992)
(±IEC 335-2-3:1986) In the appliance safety series, this Standard is to be read as a supplement to the General requirements (AS 3300/NZS 6300, ±IEC 335-1 second edition, see Basic information above). It modifies the corresponding clauses to apply to appliances with a heated sole plate for pressing against textile material, whether dry, or combined with steam or spray, also to travelling irons (max 400 W) not intended for regular household use. Particular features specified include the effect of spillage, stability protection against impact, and cord guards. Does not apply to garment steamers (AS 3312), nor to rotary ironers or flat-bed ironers. Approved electrical safety Standard.
