Specification for electrical apparatus for explosive atmospheres, Type of protection N

Specifies the essential constructional features of electrical apparatus intended for use in Division 2 areas and test requirements which such apparatus shall meet. Subject to the limitations imposed by the temperature class, this type of apparatus is suitable for use in all gases and vapours when mixed with air. Does not cover apparatus intended for use where there may be a hazard due to ignitable dust or fibre.
