Methods for the thermal testing of domestic solid fuel burning appliances., Flue loss method

Describes a method of performance testing in which the heat content of the flue gases and the ashpit loss are determined and subtracted from the total heat content of the fuel consumed. Radiation and, where applicable, boiler output are also determined and convection output is obtained by difference.
