Specification for rotating electrical machines for use in ships

Electric generators, motors, rotary converters, electromagnetic slip couplings rated for 1 hp, 0.75 kW, 0.75 kVA and above, per 1000 rev/min. No upper limit on the power ratings. Ships divided into two groups, and service conditions further subdivided twice; machines for all conditions of service specified. Construction, rating, temperature rise, regulation, parallel operation of generators, momentary overloads, commutation, efficiency, power factor. Tests; marking on rating plates. Temperature measur ement, information with enquiry or order.
