Household and similar electrical appliances - Safety - Part 2.85: Particular requirements for fabric steamers
Deals with the safety of electric fabric steamers intended for household and similar purposes, their rated voltage being not more than 250 V. The principal change in this edition as compared with the 2005 edition of AS/NZS 60335.2.85 and its amendment 1 (May 2009) is modified clause 25.7 to allow the use of braided cords (code designation 60245 IEC 89). This 2018 edition will supersede the 2005 edition from 29 June 2018. Identical to, but does not include the text of, IEC 60335-2-85 Ed 2.2.
