Approval and test specification - Electric soldering irons
Specifies electrical safety requirements, to be read in conjunction with NZS/AS 3100. Applies to portable tools which incorporate a soldering bit heated by a heating unit contained within the tool, for low voltage a.c. or d.c. supply. Does not apply to irons for extra-low voltage supply obtained from a separate transformer.
