SNZ PAS 6011: Electric vehicle (EV) chargers for residential applications is targeted exclusively at plug-in type EVs and has been prepared by representatives from the motor vehicle industry, electrical engineering, energy retailers and transport sectors, as a collation of best-practice advice for New Zealand consumers on the charging and installation of EV chargers at residential premises. It is designed to provide consumers with clear and simple guidance on how to safely, and cost effectively charge an EV in the home. This document also covers key aspects that equipment installers need to consider, prior to the installation of an EV charger in a residential environment.
