Approval and test specification - Particular requirements for tumble dryers (=AS 3317-1993)
(±IEC 335-2-11:1984) In the appliance safety series, this Standard is to be read as a supplement to the General requirements (AS 3300/NZS 6300, ±IEC 335-1 second edition, see Basic information above). It modifies the corresponding clauses to apply to appliances for drying textile material by tumbling in a rotating drum through which heated air is blown. It includes tumbler dryers incorporated in washing machines, and those with associated dehumidifiers. Particular features specified include marking, moisture resistance, interlocking and stability. Does not apply to industrial or commercial dryers.
