Approval and test specification - Particular requirements for washing machines (=AS 3314-1991)
(±IEC 335-2-7:1984) In the appliance safety series, this Standard is to be read as a supplement to the General requirements (AS 3300/NZS 6300, ±IEC 335-1 second edition, see Basic information above). It modifies the corresponding clauses to apply to machines intended for washing textile material (with or without means for water heating, water extraction or drying), including the electrical part of machines supplied with energy other than electricity. Does not deal with effectiveness of washing performance. (Note that machines incorporating a spin extractor should also comply with AS 3306, and a tumbler dryer, with NZS 6311/AS 3307.) Does not apply to industrial or commercial machines. Approved electrical safety Standard.
