Approval and test specification - Particular requirements for vacuum cleaners and water suction cleaning appliances (=AS 3308-1992)
(±IEC 335-2-2:1983) In the appliance safety series, this Standard is to be read as a supplement to the General requirements (AS 3300/NZS 6300, ±IEC 335-1 second edition, see Basic information above). It modifies the corresponding clauses to apply to dry pick-up vacuum cleaners, to appliances designed for sucking up aqueous matter, which may contain a foaming detergent or the like, and to vacuum cleaners for animal grooming; including motorized cleaning heads, and any associated current-carrying hoses. Does not apply to appliances with heating elements, nor to centrally-installed cleaners. Approved electrical safety Standard.
