Specification for plug socket adaptors

Closely aligned with AS 3122, this specification covers plug socket adaptors, two forms of which are in common use in New Zealand, i.e. the double adaptor which converts a single socket-outlet to two socket-outlets, and the tap-on, which provides a flexible cord connection to a socket-outlet while, in itself, providing a socket outlet for the connection of a further plug. Contains constructional requirements and tests for interchangeability and electrical safety. It is intended to be read in conjunction with NZS 6200 and NZS 6216. Will be withdrawn in April 1994 and superseded by AS/NZS 3122:1993. Approved electrical safety Standard
