Methods of testing soils for civil engineering purposes - Soil strength tests - Determination of the unconfined compressive strength of cohesive soil - Test 6.3.2 Alternative method using autographic apparatus

Covers the determination of the unconfined comparative strength of a specimen of non-fissured cohesive soil, using a portable compression testing machine which produces a chart record of axial load and compression. The test is limited to cylindrical specimens nominally 40 mm diameter and 80 mm long. To be read in conjunction with Part 1.
