Nomenclature, definitions for rake, clearance and other angles for a cutting tool to fulfil the requirements of the system known as 'normal rake system'. Sketches and diagrams appended. Based on terms and principles developed by ISO, but anticipates formal international agreement on some aspects of the nomenclature.
