Join the IEC National Committee of New Zealand (NCNZ)
The National Committee of New Zealand (NCNZ) is the New Zealand member body of the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC). The NCNZ represents New Zealand's interested parties and stakeholders in its interactions with the IEC. The NCNZ represents the country’s electrotechnical interests in the IEC's management, standardisation and conformity assessment work.
Standards New Zealand, a unit within the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE) acts as the Secretariat of the NCNZ. Standards New Zealand collects your personal information (salutation, name, employment history, phone and email), in order to (a) allow the NCNZ and the New Zealand Standards Executive (NZSE) to make a decision in regard to your suitability as a member of the National Committee, as required by the Standards and Accreditation Act; and (b) If approved, your salutation, name, phone and email is required in order to register you on the IEC Expert Management System, which is a mandatory IEC requirement.
If you do not provide the information identified in this application form, we will not be able to process your application. Besides Standards New Zealand staff, your details will be shared with NZNC members and the IEC. MBIE retains your information in line with the Privacy Act 2020 or as otherwise required or permitted by law. We keep your information safe by password protected documents, with limited staff access.
